OZOCLAVE 625 Tablets
Description
OZOCLAVE 625 is a broad-spectrum antibacterial combination of Amoxycillin and Clavulanic Acid. Amoxycillin provides potent bactericidal activity, while Clavulanic Acid inhibits beta-lactamase enzymes, thereby restoring and enhancing the antibacterial efficacy against resistant organisms. This trusted synergy ensures reliable treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections.
Composition
Each film-coated tablet contains:
- Amoxycillin …… 500 mg
- Clavulanic Acid …… 125 mg
- Excipients …… q.s.
Dosage & Administration
- Adults: One tablet twice daily (BID) after meals, or as directed by the physician.
- Children: Dose to be decided by the physician according to body weight and severity of infection.
- Duration: Complete the full course of therapy as prescribed, even if symptoms improve.
Tablets should be swallowed whole with water.
Indications
OZOCLAVE 625 is indicated for the treatment of susceptible bacterial infections, including:
- Upper respiratory tract infections
- Lower respiratory tract infections (Bronchitis, Pneumonia)
- ENT infections (Otitis media, sinusitis, tonsillitis)
- Typhoid and other enteric infections
- Skin and soft tissue infections
- Urinary tract infections
- Dental infections
- Infections during pregnancy and lactation (when prescribed by a physician)
Contra-Indications
- Hypersensitivity to penicillins, cephalosporins, or beta-lactam antibiotics
- History of cholestatic jaundice or hepatic dysfunction associated with amoxycillin-clavulanate
- Severe hepatic impairment
Precautions
- Use with caution in patients with liver or renal impairment
- Monitor liver function during prolonged therapy
- Discontinue use if allergic reactions such as rash, itching, or difficulty breathing occur
- Prolonged or repeated use may result in superinfection
- Use during pregnancy and lactation only under medical supervision
