OZOFOL-XT Syrup

OZOFOL-XT is a haematinic formulation indicated for the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia. It helps improve hemoglobin levels, supports red blood cell production, and promotes overall vitality. The synergistic combination of Ferrous Ascorbate, Folic Acid, and Zinc ensures better iron absorption, faster recovery, and improved hematological parameters.

COMPOSITION

OZOFOL-XT Syrup

Each 5 ml contains:

• Ferrous Ascorbate – (equivalent elemental iron as prescribed)
• Folic Acid – (as per formulation)
• Zinc Sulphate – (as per formulation)
• Flavoured Syrup Base – q.s.

Dosage & Administration

Tablets

• Adults: One tablet once daily or as directed by the physician
• To be taken orally with water
• Preferably taken after meals

Syrup

• Adults: 10 ml once or twice daily
• Children: 5 ml once or twice daily (as advised by the physician)
• Shake well before use

Indications

OZOFOL-XT is indicated for:

• Iron deficiency anemia
• Low hemoglobin (Hb) levels
• Anemia during pregnancy and lactation
• Nutritional anemia
• Chronic blood loss
• Post-operative or post-illness anemia
• Adolescent and geriatric anemia

Contra-Indications

OZOFOL-XT should not be used in patients with:

• Hypersensitivity to any ingredient
• Iron overload disorders (e.g., hemochromatosis)
• Hemolytic anemia not associated with iron deficiency

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with gastrointestinal disorders.
• Do not exceed the recommended dose.
• Iron preparations may cause darkening of stools.
• Keep out of reach of children to avoid accidental overdose.
• Use during pregnancy should be under medical supervision.

• Store in a cool and dry place
• Protect from heat, light, and moisture
• Keep container tightly closed
